The Astrology

Mars is the Domicile Lord, the Sun is the Exalted Lord, Jupiter is the Bound Lord up to 6° and then changes to Venus. Mars is the Decan ruler. Mercury is the 12th part ruler of 5° - 7° 29” and the Moon for 7° 30” to 9° 59”.

My Thoughts

The bound ruler moves from Jupiter to Venus after one degree, we are still in the realms of a benefic however Venus is subtle in her connections where Jupiter can be grandiose and too gregarious for some. This softens the Mars energy a little and we can see how harmony is a key to the energy of this quinance.

Psalm 21 mentions many wild animals and Jeliel’s protection from them. Most interesting in the Vulgate Bible version, this struck me “Save me from the lion' s mouth; and my lowness from the horns of the unicorns.” Not only wild animals of the physical plane but also of the mythical realm. The Lion and the Unicorn are heraldic beasts representing the continual battle between England and Scotland, I would love to know if this has any reference to the two countries. Should you have any insights I would love to hear it.

The beasts and devils we fight are not always literal and Jeliel helps us to transform the beast within, to harmonise with those that behave ‘beastly’ (please do use your best posh 1920’s voice here!) toward us.

The end of the Psalm discusses spreading one’s seed and proliferating, which is another of Jeliel’s powers, to help with sexual relations between a loving couple.

*The Two of Wands Crowley named Dominion. The Rider Waite shows a wealthy person, possibly a merchant, looking out over their territory, but also out to the horizon ahead. Yet this is not enough, in front of them, two staves create a gateway to the world outside the gate. The Ace as the driving force of the suit is the catalyst for the journey ahead, but here the reason for the journey is clear, the person has their goals set on the world, they are restless and looking for new adventures, challenges and maybe even as the card suggests domination.
