For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, we have made the long journey through January, the morning light emerging that little bit earlier every day. Buds are now noticeable on the small willow tree in my garden, and on my morning commute, I have noticed a brave couple of trees, adorning themselves in their pink and white blossom.
The 1st of February has become the popular date for the Imbolc celebration, a time for Mother Nature to stretch in her wintery bed and prepare for the growing season ahead. As the light increases the plant and animal kingdom respond with growth and birth, especially associated with this festival is the lambing season and the emergence of the humble snowdrop.
As those of you that have followed my work last year will know, the modern celebration dates of the cross-quarter festivals Imbolc, Beltane, Lughnasadh and Samhain, are celebrated slightly off from the astrological marker of 15° of the four Fixed signs. But this association with the seasons is in my mind most important as we are marking the exact midpoint in-between the Equinox and Solstice points.

Those who are part of the Nightlight Astrology Roots & Spheres class will be able to join Adam, Ashley, myself and the team for a discussion on the herb of the month Damiana, and I will be introducing Amber as the crystal of the month. An article and lapidary will accompany the class and that will be available to all Substack subscribers.
Also on the 9th of February
My friend and fellow astrologer Lianne McCafferty will be giving a talk on the asteroid Juno at The Bedford Astrology Group, 8 pm GMT.
Lianne and I were discussing the topic of the talk when we were working together at the last Astrological Association UK conference last October. Trying to decide on Ceres or Juno, we walked into the hotel bar and right in front of us was a painting of peacock feathers, the choice was made for us! I believe this is going to be an inspirational talk, it was Divinely posted after all!
Contact Teresa Bellmaine at The Bedford Astrology group via the Facebook page for tickets to this event. https://www.facebook.com/groups/869188609788129
