If you are new to my page and are wondering what this is all about, please see my article here. Remember that though the psalms are of the Christian faith in origin, the Angelic realm transcends religion.

My Thoughts
Throughout the psalm, the raising of one’s voice is mentioned many times, so language and singing, are important for working with this Angel. I would consider it worth chanting or singing in the key of C Mahasiahs’ name (remember pronunciation is very important) and the line from the psalm to get maximum effect. Venus as the Decan ruler would enhance the voice in a physical sense.
Rising from physical affliction is also mentioned, so call on Mahasiah when looking to heal from a difficult illness, as the psalm states “Many are the afflictions of the just; but out of them all will the Lord deliver them.” and “The Lord keepeth all their bones, not one of them shall be broken.” When we are sick we often use the term, “fighting the illness”. As we are in a Mars domicile and bound but a Venus Decan, the will to overcome is strong here, and the Venusian need to bring equilibrium to the situation is a great combination for healing.
The most challenging part of illness is the pain and frustration that our body or mind is not bending to our will to heal. Asking for the ability to free ourselves of this burden can be the first step on a healing journey.
Understanding our blocks and vices can also be a first step to improved physical and mental health. Think about the combination of The Devil card and then The Tower in tarot. Or the Tower and The Sythe cards in The Lenormand system. These two card combinations can generate fear in a novice reader. But these duos assist if one is looking to break out of stagnation and fear and can lead us on a path of healthy acceptance.
Beginning to understand the meaning of the joy in life, comes from recognising that which brings our souls true contentment and that which needs to be removed or rejected. It takes a person of strong will and character to turn down vices that are unhealthy. Those Venusian treats that lead to our downfall sometimes need to be checked by the combination of the strong willpower of Mars and the Sun. Think about buzz phrases in the health culture “cutting out sugars and fats” and “fighting fit”, these are the things we do to shun the Venusian, sugar and spice and all things nice that are sent to tempt us!
Tarot
Four of Wands - Completion (Covers this and the next Quinance)
Looking at the tarot card that covers this and the following quinance, it is no surprise that Venus rules the Decan. How Venusian the scene, clearly a celebration is taking place, it is often depicted as a wedding in many decks.
Bringing something together that once was separated is a Venusian theme and one that the Angel Mahasiah certainly embodies. The steadiness of the four wands placed in a square creates a structure. However, I often think of four walls too, and depending on where in the spread the four of wands lie, there is a finality to this scene.
Not everyone who marries does so willingly. Not all four-walled rooms are safe havens. When in need of being released from a situation we are no longer happy; Completion, as Crowley named this card could be the celebration at the end of a difficult situation as much as the beginning of a new chapter.
As we witness our celebrants behind the stage here in the, Rider-Waite-Smith deck, there is a disconnect for the first time in the suit of wands from the person. There is no need for the people in the scene to hold up the wands, they stand alone.
From the three of wands where our person was looking out wistfully toward the future, here we have the safety of the city and the townsfolk looking over our scene, it is mediaeval suburbia if you will! But how long does that security and feeling of happiness last once you are in the day-to-day drudgery of life? Suddenly Completion can look like imprisonment if you let it. So a happy scene of wedded bliss, or a celebration after a divorce? Well, you decide! What is certain is that nothing lasts forever and if we feel hemmed in we can start to feel the need to break out.
This then leads on to the frustration we see in our next set of wand cards, beginning with the five of wands at Leo Decan One!
